How To Get Rid Of Moles
Characteristics
- Moles are small insect eating rodent
- Not part of rodent family
- Moles have cylindrical bodies with slender, pointed snouts and short, bare, or sparsely haired tails
- Mole limbs are short and spadelike
- Mole eyes are poorly developed, and their ears aren’t visible
- Mole fur is short, dense, and velvety
Identifying Mole Mounds
The clearest signs of moles being present are the Mounds and surface runways that they create while burrowing just below the surface. The mounds are formed when moles push up soil to the surface form their underground runways. While some of the mounds are temporary, the permanent ones are usually about 2 inches in diameter and go about 8-12 inches below ground.

- Greatest mole activity occurs usually after rainfall or human watering when digging new tunnels is easier
